The Forge’s kitchen and dining space is a celebration of relaxed luxury and thoughtful design. Framed by rustic beams and river views, the bespoke kitchen is both stylish and practical, with handcrafted cabinetry, ample worktops, and quality appliances that make every meal a pleasure to prepare.

A sociable layout invites conversation as you cook, with a central island perfect for sharing morning coffee or evening drinks. The large, handcrafted dining table takes centre stage beneath the vaulted ceiling, offering an atmospheric setting for everything from slow brunches to candlelit feasts.

Whether you’re gathering for celebratory meals or simple shared moments, The Forge’s warm and welcoming dining space brings people together with ease – and always with the peaceful backdrop of the Camel River just beyond.

Sleeping & Bathing

The Forge is home to four beautifully appointed bedrooms, each designed with comfort, calm, and countryside charm in mind.

On the first floor, the master bedroom is a serene haven. Featuring a sumptuous king-size bed, with calming tones throughout, this restful space invites long lie-ins and undisturbed nights. A round window overlooks the ancient bridge and peaceful Camel River; the ensuite bathroom completes the scene.

The second bedroom is delightfully styled. A cosy double bed promises dreamy sleep, while the adjoining ensuite bathroom features a shower, perfect for dewy mornings and post-adventure refreshes.

Ground floor is the third bedroom, ideal for adults, children or friends, with one super king bed or two full-size single beds dressed in soft linens. A nearby shared bathroom offers both bath and shower options, with thoughtful touches throughout.

On the ground floor, the fourth bedroom offers peaceful privacy with a double bed, inviting quiet moments away from the main living space.

Each bathroom at The Forge is tastefully finished with comfort and practicality in mind. With a spacious main bathroom on the ground floor and two en-suites upstairs, there’s ample room for everyone to refresh and unwind. Whether it’s a hot shower after a countryside walk or a quiet soak in the tub, The Forge offers simple, restful routines in a relaxed and homely setting.

Outside Space

The Forge’s tiered garden is a delightful spot to soak up the riverside charm, with thoughtful planting bringing colour and character throughout the seasons. At the centre of the space is a concrete patio, ideal for outdoor dining, complete with a BBQ and seating for leisurely lunches or evening feasts under the open sky.

Wander between the garden’s levels to admire the surrounding greenery and enjoy the peaceful views, whether you’re starting the day with coffee in the fresh air or winding down with a glass of wine as the light fades.

There is parking for up to two cars at The Forge.

Accessibility

The Forge is accessible by a few steps or has wheelchair access to the main gate at the side of the property. 

Babies & Children

Children and two babe-in-arms are welcome at The Forge. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available upon request. We kindly ask that children are supervised during your stay The Forge.

Dogs

Two well-behaved dogs are most welcome at The Forge. Please note, there is a £35 per week fee per dog and an additional dog, per week or short break.

This place is amazing. So beautifully decorated and had everything we needed and more. Would love to go again if it remains affordable. It was excellent value for the level of comfort and amenities. I would definitely recommend to any family or small group who want to spend quality time together.
