I’m Dawn — co-founder of SeaMoor Stays, and a total believer in the magic of Cornwall. With a background in finance and project management, I’ve spent the last few years helping businesses deliver better service and experiences.
Three years ago, my husband and I bought a house in Cornwall. We instantly fell in love with the energy and natural beauty of this place — there’s something truly special here. As a self-confessed “golf widow,” I found myself spending more and more time chatting with my amazing neighbour Katy… and soon, SeaMoor Stays was born.
She’s not just my business partner, but a great friend — and our shared passion for people, hospitality, and Cornwall drives everything we do.
I know from personal experience what it’s like to take the first steps into letting a property — the excitement, the questions, the endless preparation, and the uncertainty that comes with it. Going through that journey myself made me realise how often traditional letting agencies can feel impersonal and rigid, and just how much it matters to have someone in your corner who truly listens, guides, and cares.
There’s nothing I love more than heading out along the Camel Trail or Cornwall’s coastal paths with my husband and our happy-go-lucky cockapoo, Oscar — all of us soaking up the fresh air and endless horizons.
With Katy by my side, we’re building something close to our hearts — a business that supports homeowners and creates unforgettable memories for every guest. Every stay is a reflection of the care, thought, and passion we share.
I’m Katy — co-founder of SeaMoor Stays. I’m passionate about delivering exceptional holiday experiences in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.
Before launching SeaMoor, I worked as an Operations Manager for a leading premium holidays lettings company in North Cornwall based in Rock, managing a portfolio of 271 properties. This gave me first-hand experience of running a large-scale holiday letting agency and managing high-end properties with both operational rigour and guest care at the forefront. While I’m incredibly proud of what I achieved at that level, it also showed me something else: that the personal touch matters more than ever. SeaMoor is our opportunity to bring back warmth, local connection, and thoughtful hospitality — the kind that truly makes a stay unforgettable.
I now live in Rock with my husband Max, our two children, Amelie and Harry, and our miniature schnauzer, Willow. We’re always out exploring — whether that’s a peaceful moorland walk or an afternoon on the beach.
